Upright Citizens Brigade's musical improv team, Diamond Lion, will perform improvised scenes and songs at the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) beginning July 13 at the 45th Street Theatre.

In the show, according to UCB, "Broadway actors will share their unprepared personal stories and Diamond Lion will use those stories as the basis for an evening of spontaneous comedy, culminating in the only unscripted show of NYMF. The show will be different every night; no song or scene will ever be seen again."

Godspell's George Salazar and Julia Mattison will share their stories at the July 13 shows at 7 PM and 9 PM, and Bill English of Anything Goes will share his story July 15 at 9 PM.

Diamond Lion features veteran improvisers Amber Petty, Ashley Ward, Michael Kayne, Winston Noel and Morgan Phillips. Diamond Lion is the only musical improv team regularly appearing at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, a comedy theatre and school whose alumni include cast members and writers of shows such as "Saturday Night Live," "30 Rock," "The Office," "The Daily Show" and more.

The 45th Street Theatre is located at 354 West 45th Street. For more information and tickets, call (212) 352-3101 or visit NYMF.org.
