St. Louis Sound of Music, Starring David Schmittou, Casey Erin Clark and Suzanne Ishee, Begins July 20

David Schmittou, Casey Erin Clark and Suzanne Ishee enter the world of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music, which begins performances July 20 at Stages St. Louis.
Michael Hamilton directs the classic musical that runs through Aug. 19 in the Robert G. Reim Theatre.
Kevin Kline Award-winning actor Schmittou (The Drowsy Chaperone) portrays Captain von Trapp with Clark (Les Miserables, Shout!) as Maria Rainer and Ishee (The Phantom of the Opera, Show Boat) as Mother Abbess.
The cast also includes Matt Leisy (The Fantasticks) as Rolf, Heidi Giberson (Fiddler on the Roof) as Leisl, William Thomas Evans (A Tale of Two Cities, The Scarlet Pimpernel) as Max Detweiler and Kari Ely (Sunday in the Park With George) as Elsa Schraeder.
Completing the cast are Lori Barrett-Pagano, Karin Berutti, Justin Ivan Brown, Grace Clark, Phoebe Desilets, Michele Burdette Elmore, Laura Ernst, Christopher Guilmet, Megan Haberberger, Matthew Howard, Charlie Ingram, Ellen Isom, Debby Lennon, Savannah Light, Larry Mabrey, Laurie McConnell, Morgan McDonald, Braden Phillips, Pamela Reckamp, Whit Reichert, Jordan Schulz, Julia Schweizer, Caden Self, Shaun Sheley and Madelyn Wansong.
Dana Lewis choreographs with musical direction by Lisa Campbell Albert. The design team also includes Mark Halpin (scenic design), Matthew McCarthy (lighting design) and Lou Bird (costume design).
