Melanie Griffith Will Be Part of Upcoming Season of Fox's "Raising Hope"

Academy Award nominee Melanie Griffith will be part of the upcoming season of the Fox sitcom "Raising Hope," according to Deadline.com.



On the series' third season, Griffith will play the mother of Sabrina (Shannon Woodward); Griffith will be joined by her mother, Tippi Hedren, who will play Sabrina's grandmother.

"Raising Hope" stars Tony Award nominee Martha Plimpton, Oscar winner Cloris Leachman, Lucas Neff, Garret Dillahunt and Gregg Binkley.

Griffith, who recently starred in the world premiere of Scott Caan's No Way Around But Through in Burbank, made her Broadway debut in Chicago. The actress was nominated for an Academy Award for the 1988 film "Working Girl" and has also been seen in "Nobody's Fool," "Another Day in Paradise," "Celebrity" and "RKO 281," among others.
