Hartford Grand Night for Singing Benefit to Feature Jefferson Mays, Chilina Kennedy and More

Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays, Chilina Kennedy and Heather Ayers will take part in a benefit performance of the Rodgers and Hammerstein revue A Grand Night for Singing Sept. 27 at Hartford Stage. The evening features the cast of the world premiere of the new Steven Lutvak-Robert L. Freedman musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which will debut at Hartford Stage Oct. 11. The 7:30 PM benefit of A Grand Night for Singing will include Lutvak, Mays (I Am My Own Wife), Kennedy (Jesus Christ Superstar), Ayers (A Little Night Music), Ken Barnett (Wonderful Town), Rachel Izen (Mary Poppins), Lisa O'Hare (My Fair Lady), Kendal Sparks (Les Misérables) and Price Waldman (The Little Mermaid). The benefit will also offer a sneak peek at a song from A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. A reception will follow at 8:45 PM.
