BMI Workshop's Musical Mondays Lab to Launch With Free Concert Oct. 11

Musical Mondays Theatre Lab, offering selections from brand-new musicals developed in the BMI Workshop, will launch Oct. 11 with a special concert of material from the new album "No More Revivals, Volume 1," at the Jerry Orbach Theater.



The kick-off concert on Oct. 11 at 6:30 PM promises songs by Alan Menken and David Spencer; Adam Overett; Aron Acurso and Jill Abramovitz; Dan Israel with collaborators Phoebe Kreutz and Robert Yarnall; Justin Warner and Rob Kendt; Mary Feinsinger; Andy Monroe; Joy Son and Steve Routman; Sara Wordsworth and Linda Dowdell; Ben Green and Greg Edwards; and Jonathon Comisar and Webb Wilcoxen.

Set to perform the new material are Natalie Charle Ellis (Forbidden Broadway, Alive and Kicking), Mary Feinsinger (Ting Twisters), Adam Overett (Footloose), Jill Abramovitz (9 to 5), Jeff Ward (Howard da Silva), Andy Monroe (The Kid), Mick Bleyer (Scarlet Pimpernel), Amy Zelcer (If You Give a Pig a Pancake), Elyssa Samsel (Nab-a-Date), Arjana Andris (Sweeney Todd), Tom Compton, David Perlman, (Baby It's You!), Jonathan Breit (The Rivals) and Beth Falcone (Wanda's World).

The materai is featured on the new album "From the BMI Workshop: No More Revivals, Volume 1," anticipated for an early winter release.

Upcoming concerts include Neurosis: the Musical, book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, lyrics by Greg Edwards (Nov. 8); Drive by Andy Monroe (Dec. 6); The Passion of Ed Wood, with book-lyrics by Justin Warner and usic by Rob Kend (Jan. 10, 2013); and Cynthia and the Dreadful Kite featuring music by Jonathan Comisar, book-lyrics by Webb Wilcoxen (Feb. 7, 2013).
