LAST CHANCE: What's Closing This Week
By Michael Gioia
Here's Playbill.com's weekly "Last Chance" reminder to catch Broadway, Off-Broadway and world-premiere productions before they take a final bow. Concluding Oct. 20 Running On Empty (Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre). Running On Empty is the latest politically charged show by comedian Lewis Black. The Broadway run is a stop on his current U.S. tour. Black, a stand-up comedian, actor and author, is one of the most prolific and popular performers working today. A graduate from the Yale School of Drama, an accomplished playwright, a familiar presence on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," and a Grammy Award-winning artist, Black performs over 200 nights a year to sell-out audiences around the world. [Black will also be a part of Playbill's Broadway on the High Seas 2, a ten-day cruise through Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil that launches Dec. 6.
