PHOTO ARCHIVE: Celebrating Tony Winner Michael Rupert on the New York Stage

Tony Award winner Michael Rupert celebrates his 61st birthday this week. We look back on a Broadway career spanning 40 years, beginning with his debut at age 16 in The Happy Time.



Rupert's Broadway credits include Pippin, Shakespeare's Cabaret, Mail, Sweet Charity, City of Angels, Falsettos, Ragtime and Legally Blonde.

He won a Tony for his performance in the 1986 revival of Sweet Charity, also earning nominations for The Happy Time and Falsettos.

Here are highlights from his New York stage work so far. Happy Birthday, Michael!
