The national tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, which is set to launch Jan. 8, 2013, at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, will bring added glitz to Las Vegas next summer for an 11-week run, according to a casting notice.

A theatre has not been announced for Priscilla's Vegas engagement, which will run June-August 2013. Following the Las Vegas stop, the musical will continue to Denver, CO. Additional tour stops include Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Dallas.

An official Las Vegas production and casting have not been announced.

The juke-box musical, which includes songs by Tina Turner, The Village People, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Donna Summer, is adapted from the film "The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert."

Simon Phillips (Love Never Dies) directed the Broadway production that ended its run in June 2012 after 23 previews and 526 performances. It is written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott. Priscilla has choreography by Ross Coleman.

The show has musical supervision and arrangements by Stephen "Spud" Murphy, set design by Brian Thomson, costumes by Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner, lighting design by Nick Schlieper, sound design by Jonathan Deans and Peter Fitzgerald, and make-up design by Cassie Hanlon.

The Broadway production starred Tony Award nominee Will Swenson, Tony Award nominee Tony Sheldon and Nick Adams as "the trio of friends on a heart-warming, uplifting road trip of a lifetime who hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship in the middle of the Australian outback and end up finding more than they could ever have dreamed," according to producers.
