PHOTO CALL: New Shots of Aaron Tveit, Eddie Redmayne and Amanda Seyfried in the Les Miz Film
By Matthew Blank
The film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical Les Misérables will have a Christmas Day opening, hitting theatres in a wide release Dec. 25.
Here are brand new stills featuring Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit and Amanda Seyfried.
Original stage Valjean, Colm Wilkinson, plays the pivotal role of the Bishop of Digne in the picture. Tony Award winner Frances Ruffelle, the original Eponine in London and on Broadway, also makes an appearance in the film.
Les Misérables producer Cameron Mackintosh previously confirmed that the film version of the epic Victor Hugo-inspired musical, with songs by Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schonberg and Herbert Kretzmer, features a new song for hero Jean Valjean, and vocals for the film were sung live rather than dubbed. William Nicholson ("Gladiator," "Nell," "Shadowlands") penned the screenplay.
Production for "Les Miz" began in early March. Check out photos from filming.
