Ridgefield Playhouse Will Offer an Evening with Stephen Sondheim

Tony Award-winning composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim will discuss his legendary career and contributions to the American musical theatre in February 2013 at Connecticut's Ridgefield Playhouse. Emmy Award-winning journalist Morton Dean will host the onstage interview, which is scheduled for Feb. 23 at 7:30 PM. A question-and-answer session with the audience will follow. Sondheim is the genius behind the musicals A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Follies, Into the Woods, Applause, Company, Gypsy, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Sunday in the Park with George, Pacific Overtures and more.
