Alice Ripley, who took home the 2009 Tony Award for her performance as the troubled Diana Goodman in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal, celebrates her birthday Dec. 14. She can currently be seen Off-Broadway in Paula Vogel's A Civil War Christmas at the New York Theatre Workshop.



Ripley, who was Tony-nominated for her performance in Side Show, has also been seen on Broadway in The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, King David, Sunset Boulevard, The Who's Tommy and Les Misérables. The singer is also known for her acoustic solo recordings, which include an eclectic mix of well-known tunes.
