PHOTO ARCHIVE: Celebrating Frank Wildhorn on Broadway
By Matthew Blank
Two-time Tony Award-nominated composer Frank Wildhorn's Jekyll & Hyde closed on Broadway on Jan. 7, 2001, after 1,543 performances. Playbill.com takes a look back at the composer's past Broadway productions. His other work includes The Scarlet Pimpernel and the recent Bonnie & Clyde among other titles. Wildhorn made his Broadway debut in 1997 with Jekyll & Hyde, which ran for nearly four years at the Schoenfeld. His Scarlet Pimpernel opened the same year at the Minskoff Theatre. It would close and "re-boot" twice, with changes to score and script and new lead actors, before ending its run in 2000. Other Broadway composing credits include The Civil War (1999), Dracula (2004), Wonderland (2010) and Bonnie & Clyde (2011). Here is a look at Wildhorn on Broadway:
