Rich Little's Jimmy Stewart & Friends Eyeing Broadway Run
By Adam Hetrick
Veteran impressionist Rich Little is hoping to bring his new one-man play Jimmy Stewart & Friends to Broadway. Little's current engagement at the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino has been extended several times. The evening, which takes audiences on a journey through the life of late film and stage actor Stewart ("Harvey," "It's a Wonderful Life"), is billing the Las Vegas run as a pre-Broadway engagement. It will play the Las Vegas Hotel's Shimmer Cabaret through April 3. Jimmy Stewart & Friends also promises Little's impressions of Cary Grant, George Burns, Ronald Reagan, Katherine Hepburn and John Wayne. Little is known for appearances on "Laugh-In," "The Tonight Show," "Hollywood Squares," "KopyKats," "The Julie Andrews Hour" and his 1970's series "The Rich Little Show." |
