Site-Specific Reading of Importance of Being Earnest to Feature Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Brian Charles Rooney and More
By Adam Hetrick
Tony Award nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q) will star in a site-specific private reading of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest Feb. 13 for Razors Edge Productions. Held within the "white and gold gilded ballroom of a private Eastside club," the reading will also feature Jennifer Sheehan, Bill Connington (Zombie), Gayton Scott (Gypsy), Brian Charles Rooney (Threepenny Opera), Annmarie Benedict (Robeson) and Michael Keyloun (Tartuffe). The Importance of Being Earnest is billed as "a farcical comedy in which the protagonists maintain fictitious identities in order to escape burdensome social obligations." It was last revived on Broadway in 2011 by the Roundabout Theatre Company. |
