Gingold Theatrical Group, which presents the monthly Project Shaw readings under the direction of artistic director David Staller, offers a Golden Shamrock Gala March 17 at the Players Club.

The evening, which begins with a reception at 5 PM, followed by dinner at 6 PM and the performance at 7 PM, includes "Shaw, festive Irish music, and a down-home traditional Irish/American dinner: corned-beef & cabbage, lamb stew, vegetarian shepherd’s pie, puddings and sweeties and plenty of wines, stout and ale… [as well as] stars, festive Irish musicians, shamrocks, raffles and auctions, and more."

The Players Club is located at 16 Gramercy Park South (20th Street east of Park Avenue). Tickets are $200 for single tickets, $350 for a pair, and $3,000 for a table of ten. For tickets and additional information, call (212) 355-7823 or email

Gingold Theatrical Group’s goal is to "carve a permanent niche for the work of George Bernard Shaw within the social and cultural life of New York; bringing his canon and precepts to larger audiences while encouraging individuals to breathe these humanist ideals into their contributions for the future."
