The 1951 award-winning Broadway musical, according to press notes, concerns "the antics of gambler Nathan Detroit as he tries to set up the weekly floating crap game. In need of $1,000, he bets Sky Masterson that the slick gambler cannot get missionary Sarah Brown to go on a date to Havana. Meanwhile, Nathan's long-time fiancé, Miss Adelaide, laments about her inability to get Nathan to walk down the aisle and settle down." The musical features such Frank Loesser classics such as "Luck Be a Lady," "Adelaide's Lament" and "Take Back Your Mink."
