Tony Award winner Chita Rivera (The Rink, Kiss of the Spider Woman) is the mistress of ceremonies at the April 8 memorial honoring stage and film producer Marty Richards. The evening, benefiting The New York Center For Children — co-founded by Richards in memory of his wife Mary Lea — is held at The Edison Ballroom.

Sirius XM Broadway host, actor, musician and Playbill.com columnist Seth Rudetsky is musical director for the 6:30 PM memorial, which features "show-stopping numbers" from Richards' Broadway musicals, including Chicago, On The Twentieth Century, The Life, Grand Hotel, Sweeney Todd, La Cage Aux Folles, Sweet Smell Of Success, The Will Rogers Follies and Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life.

The Producer Circle Co.'s Michael Milton and Dan Gallagher produced and staged the event, which also includes a four-course dinner and special tributes from Clive Davis (five-time Grammy Award-winning music industry executive, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee), Tom Viola (executive director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids) and Michele Herbert (former president of the Board of The New York Center For Children).

Rabbi Adam Jacobs will deliver the evening's invocation.

A press statement for the evening reads, "As we all know, Marty embraced friends from all walks of life. In keeping with that spirit, donations are not required to attend this celebration of his life. Although, we do hope that you will be generous in your support of this organization that was so very dear to his heart."
