The Verdict: Critics Review The Big Knife, Starring Bobby Cannavale
By Adam Hetrick
Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway revival of Clifford Odets' Hollywood drama The Big Knife, starring Bobby Cannavale, C.J. Wilson, Marin Ireland, Chip Zien, Richard Kind, Brenda Wehle and Reg Rogers, opened April 16 at the American Airlines Theatre.
Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt) directs the rarely revived 1940s play by the author of Golden Boy. In The Big Knife, recent Glengarry Glen Ross star Cannavale plays a Hollywood actor whose buried past is being unearthed. Previews began March 22.
