Chita Rivera, Carol Channing, Lorna Luft and Bridget Everett to Play Fire Island

Tony Award winners Chita Rivera and Carol Channing, as well as Lorna Luft and Bridget Everett will perform on Fire Island this summer as part of the "Icon Series" at the Ice Palace.
Daniel Nardicio, who produced Liza Minnelli and Alan Cumming's Town Hall concert in March (which first originated in Fire Island last summer), produces the series that runs May 25-Aug. 31 in Cherry Grove.
Rivera (Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) will offer My Broadway, featuring musical director Michael Croiter (Aug. 17). Expect songs from West Side Story, Sweet Charity, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman and The Rink.
Tony Award nominee Justin Vivian Bond and Channing (Hello, Dolly!) will unite for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes: An Intimate Evening with Carol Channing and Justin Vivian Bond (Aug. 24). Bond will moderate a Q & A session with Channing during the evening that will also feature musical selections.
Emmy winner Luft (Promises, Promises; Guys and Dolls) will perform songs from her stage, screen and concert career (Aug. 31).
Also set to appear are drag icon Dina Martina: Sedentary Lady (May 25); standup comedian Paula Poundstone (June 29); comedian Bruce Vilanch, in an evening directed by Scott Wittman (June 6); comedian and activist Margaret Cho (July 13); John Waters in his Fire Island debut (July 20); Bridget Everett (July 27); and Lynda Carter (Aug. 3).
