Johanna Day, R. Ward Duffy and Amelia Campbell Cast in Penn State Centre Stage's Good People
By Andrew Gans
Casting has been announced for Penn State Centre Stage's upcoming production of David Lindsay-Abaire’s Good People, which begins performances June 12 in State College, PA.
Broadway's Johanna Day, who was Tony-nominated for her performance in Proof, will star as Margie Walsh. She will be joined by R. Ward Duffy as her ex-boyfriend Mike and Tony nominee Amelia Campbell as Jean. Rounding out the cast are Joy Hooper, Jane Ridley and Kevin Toniazzo-Naughton.
Robert W. Schneider directs.
Good People, according to press notes, "is set in South Boston, where this month’s paycheck covers last month’s bills, bingo is a night on the town, and sharp-tongued single-mom Margie Walsh has just been let go from yet another job. Scrambling to make ends meet, she looks up an old flame, hoping he’ll help her make a fresh start in this humor-filled drama from Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire about how twists of fate determine our path."
