Dorset Theatre Festival Summer Season to Feature The Whipping Man, Barefoot in the Park, Clybourne Park and More

Casting has been announced for Dorset Theatre Festival's 38th summer season, which runs June 19-Aug. 31.
The Scene, by Theresa Rebeck, will feature Tim Daly ("Wings," "Private Practice"), Mary Bacon (Giant, Rock 'n' Roll), Geoffrey Arend ("Body of Proof") and Carolyn Holding (The Philadelphia Story). Adrienne Campbell-Holt will direct the production.
Matthew Lopez's The Whipping Man will star Brian Anthony Wilson ("The Wire," "Rounders," "Keeping the Faith"), Jaime Lincoln Smith (Ruined & Holla if Ya Hear Me) and Michael Simpson (The Glass Menagerie). The Whipping Man will be directed by DTF artistic director Dina Janis.
Barefoot in the Park, by Neil Simon, will be directed by Jenn Thompson, TACT’s co-artistic director. The cast features Amelia White (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Geoffrey Wade (An American Daughter), Tony Roach (Rich Girl), Lesley Shires (Happy Birthday), Evan Thompson (Ivanov, An American Daughter) and Tom Ferguson (Anyone Can Whistle).
Bruce Norris' Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park, directed by Giovanna Sardelli, will conclude the season. The cast includes Remi Sandri (The North Pool), Carol Halstead (The Best Man), Clea Alsip (The Show Off, The Killing of Sister George), Andy Lucien (The Last Seder), Lynnette Freeman (A Raisin in the Sun), Greg Jackson (Timon of Athens) and Kevin Crouch (Two Gentlemen of Verona).
