Memory Show, Starring Catherine Cox and Leslie Kritzer, Ends Off-Broadway Run May 18
By Andrew Gans
Transport Group's New York premiere of the new musical The Memory Show, which officially opened April 30, ends its run at The Duke on 42nd Street, May 18. Performances are at 2 PM and 8 PM.
Directed by Joe Calarco, the two-hander, which was previously seen at the Barrington Stage Company, co-stars Broadway's Catherine Cox and Leslie Kritzer.
The Memory Show, featuring book and lyrics by Sara Cooper and music by Zach Redler, is described as such: "Showing up is half the battle...and then there's the other half. When a daughter comes home to care for her aging mother, memory is only one land mine in the new musical The Memory Show. Conflicting versions of the past collide in this honest and darkly funny portrait of a mother, a daughter, and their inescapable relationship."
The production has set design by Brian Prather, costume design by Kathryn Rohe, lighting design by Chris Lee, sound design by Walter Trarbach, music direction by Vadim Feitchner and orchestrations by Lynn Shankel. The stage manager is Theresa Flanagan.
The Duke on 42nd Street is located at 229 West 42nd Street. Tickets are $65 and available at Dukeon42.org or by phoning The Duke on 42nd Street box office at (646) 223-3010.
