Tim Minchin, Cast of Grease and More Set to Perform at Helpmann Awards

The 13th Annual Helpmann Awards will feature performances by Matilda The Musical songwriter Tim Minchin, the cast of Grease and the Sydney Dance Company.
Hosted by Eddie Perfect and Christie Whelan Browne, the awards will be presented at the Sydney Opera House July 29.
Scheduled presenters include Bert Newton, Tina Arena, Erika Heynatz, Patrick Brammall, Chloe Dallimore, Rob Mills, Ashley Zuckerman, Miranda Tapsell, John Waters and Sharon Millerchip. The show will also include a full company performance of Hot Shoe Shuffle, starring David Atkins, Jaz Flowers, Bobby Fox and the Tap Brothers, as well as a performance by Emma Birdsall.
The ceremony will also feature a performance from the cast of Grease, starring Rob Mills, Gretel Scarlett, Anthony Callea, Stephen Mahy and Lucy Maunder.
Minchin, a Tony-nominated composer, comedian and writer (Matilda the Musical), recently played the role of Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar Arena Spectacular.
The Helpmann Awards are the premiere awards event for Australia's live entertainment and performing arts industry, recognizing distinguished artistic achievement and excellence across the major disciplines of Australia's live performance industry. Categories include musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, cabaret, opera, classical music, theatre, dance and physical theatre. The Helpmann Awards also incorporate the JC Williamson Award for outstanding contribution to the Australian live performance industry.
