By Andrew Gans
Tony winner Julie White, recently seen in the Tony Award-winning comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, has landed a recurring role in the upcoming sixth season of Showtime's "Nurse Jackie."
White, according to the Hollywood Reporter, has been cast as Antoinette, a "ballsy Southern realtor who becomes an AA sponsor to a downward-spiraling Jackie [Edie Falco]. Antoinette has seen and heard it all and could potentially be Jackie's match."
White's role will begin in the forthcoming season premiere of the popular series. In related news, the industry paper reports that Adam Ferrara, who plays Jackie's love interest, is now a series regular.
White won her Tony Award for her performance in the 2006 comedy The Little Dog Laughed.
