Proceeds support the ongoing work of Artists for World Peace, a non-profit organization whose goal is to "feed the hungry, house the poor, and encourage peace throughout the world, working one person, one family, one community at a time."
Artists for World Peace on Broadway 3 was co-hosted by brothers Paul and Robbie Rescigno and featured musical direction by Sonny Paladino (Pippin, Billy Elliot).
An original Bollywood dance piece, choreographed by Monica Kapoor (Mamma Mia!, "Smash"), closed the performance. Throughout the evening, each singer wore the International Peace Belt during his or her performance, as did Kapoor.
"The generosity of the contributing Broadway performers is overwhelming," said Wendy Black-Nasta, founder and director of Artists for World Peace, in a statement. "Sharone offered to bring Artists for World Peace to Broadway, and this is the third year in a row that she has put together an all star cast of stars for us!"
