By Andrew Gans
The Actors' Temple's Fourth Annual Concert Fundraiser will be held Nov. 18 at 7 PM at the famed Temple, which is located at 339 West 47th Street.
Among those who will be performing songs from "The Jewish American Songbook" are Isaac Blech, Stephen Bogardus, Bernard Dotson, Beth Fowler, Deborah Grausman, Jackie Hoffman, Valerie Lemon, Dana Lorge, William Michals, Barbara Minkus, Mark Nadler, Lee Roy Reams, Eric Rudy, Camille Saviola, Lauren Schaffel and Marilyn Sokol. Paul Chamlin is the musical director.
Producer Randie Levine-Miller, who will also host, said in a statement, "In the old days, Actors' Temple member Sophie Tucker would get the Shuberts to donate a theater and she would produce an annual show. The money raised would help pay for the Temple's yearly expenses. Now they just have me to gather my theater and cabaret performer friends. It's always a swell party, as well as a mitzvah!"
Rabbi Jill Hausman added, "We're hoping this year's benefit will help us to restore the beautiful stained glass windows as well as other parts of our aged synagogue which are in dire need of repair."
Tickets are $125 for the concert only; $275 includes the VIP/cast after party at Tony's di Napoli Restaurant, 147 West 43rd Street; patron tickets are $1,000, which includes two concert tickets, VIP/cast after party, as well as dinner for two at a New York Restaurant.
