Alan Cumming, Shuler Hensley, Andy Karl, Orfeh, Brad Oscar Set for Only Make Believe Gala; Susan Sarandon To Be Honored

Sir Ian McKellen will host Only Make Believe's 14th Annual Gala, which is entitled Make Believe On Broadway, Nov. 4 at 7 PM at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

The evening will honor Oscar winner Susan Sarandon, who will receive the Sir Ian McKellen Award for her philanthropy and activism, and Dr. Alex Karp, who will be presented with the Founders’ Award for his outstanding commitment to philanthropic causes.

Entertainment will be provided by Andy Karl, Orfeh, Tony winner Alan Cumming, Brandon Victor Dixon, Tony winner Shuler Hensley, Brad Oscar, Rosie’s Kids and the cast of Honeymoon in Vegas. Speakers/presenters include Joe DiPietro, Tony winner Kathleen Marshall and Tony Danza.

Only Make Believe is a non-profit organization that "creates and performs interactive theatre for children in hospitals and care facilities. They are dedicated to the principle that freeing a child's imagination is a valuable part of the healing process."
