Richard Standing and Sara Poyzer, Real-Life Husband and Wife, to Star in Mamma Mia! International Tour

The full cast for the Mamma Mia! international tour has been announced.
The tour, which will begin performances June 20, 2014, at the Blackpool Opera House, will feature real-life husband and wife Richard Standing (Rutherford & Son, Mamma Mia!) and Sara Poyzer (Mamma Mia!, Billy Elliot), playing Sam Carmichael and Donna Sheridan, respectively. Performances will continue through Aug. 31 at the only U.K. venue outside of London to host the production in 2014.
The Mamma Mia! international tour will also star Geraldine Fitzgerald (42nd Street, Gypsy) as Tanya, Sue Devaney (Housewife 49, Fetish Knights) as Rosie, Michael Beckley (Blue/Orange, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) as Bill Austin, Keiron Crook (The Sound of Music, Love Story) as Harry Bright, Victoria Serra (Titanic, Spring Awakening) as Sophie Sheridan, Bart Edwards (Constance, Next Thing You Know) as Sky, Sally Frith as Ali, Jasmin Colangelo (Cats, Cinderella) as Lisa, Kade Ferriaiolo (Oliver!, The Mikado) as Pepper and Ashley Luke Lloyd (Billy Elliot, Loserville) as Eddie. The role of Donna will be played at certain performances by Natalie Langston.
The cast will also include Craig Anthony-Kelly, Laura Benazaize, Jay Bryce, Matthew Collyer, Frances Dee, James-Royden Lyley, Gemma Lawson, Megan Louch, Scott Mobley, Aaron Ashley Parker, Ashley Russell, Robbie Scotcher, Tom Stanford-Wheatley, Anna Stolli, Lucy Wilkerson, Sarah Wilkie and Jamie Wilkin.
Mamma Mia!, which features music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, is written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast.
"Mamma Mia! is Judy Craymer’s vision of staging the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs with an enchanting tale of family and friendship unfolding on a Greek island paradise," press notes state.
To date, the musical has been seen by more than 54 million people in 38 productions in 14 different languages grossing more than $2 billion at the box office.
The production is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.
