By Andrew Gans
Rob McClure, a Tony nominee for his performance in Chaplin, co-stars in the Delaware Theatre Company's production of the two-person musical The Story of My Life, which officially opens Dec. 7 following previews that began Dec. 4.
McClure plays the role of Alvin with Ben Dibble as Tom. Performances are scheduled through Dec. 22.
The Story of My Life, according to press notes, "presents a tale of two friends who couldn't imagine life without each other - until one of them could and the once inseparable pair separate. Through the rich melodies of this heartwarming musical, the audience accompanies these two friends through their adventures, struggles, and discovery that love is what binds us together."
"I've never been part of a show where so many people approach me and exclaim that this show has changed their life. And frankly, it has changed my life as well," said Bud Martin, executive director of DTC, in a previous statement. Martin directs this production.
The musical was penned by composer-lyricist Neil Bartram and librettist Brian Hill.
Single tickets range from $35-$50 and are on sale by calling the Delaware Theatre Company box office at (302) 594-1100, online at delawaretheatre.org, or by visiting the box office at 200 Water Street, Wilmington, DE.
