Will Tony Nominee Matthew Morrison Head to the London Stage Following "Glee"?
By Michael Gioia
Tony Award nominee Matthew Morrison, who stars on the Fox hit musical series "Glee," is eyeing a stint in the West End following his time on "Glee," according to WENN.
"I want to take a break from television," Morrison told WENN. "It's a grueling schedule, and my heart has always been on stage. I realize that even more so now. Because of this long show, I haven't been able to get back on stage. I would probably do a serious, dramatic turn in a play. I've been talking to some people over there about doing a Tennessee Williams play so here's hoping."
As previously reported, "Glee" will not continue beyond a sixth season.
Morrison, who was Tony-nominated for his performance in The Light in the Piazza, has also been seen on Broadway in Footloose, The Rocky Horror Show, Hairspray, A Naked Girl on the Appian Way and South Pacific.
