Marcia Gay Harden, Colin Firth, Emma Stone, Eileen Atikins Among Cast of Woody Allen's Upcoming "Magic in Moonlight"

Sony Pictures Classics has acquired all North American rights to Woody Allen's upcoming film "Magic in the Moonlight" from Gravier Productions. Tony winner Marcia Gay Harden and Oscar winner Colin Firth are among the cast.



Joining Oscar winner Firth ("The King's Speech") and Tony winner Harden (God of Carnage) are four-time Tony Award nominee Eileen Atkins (The Retreat from Moscow, Indiscretions, The Killing of Sister George, Vivat! Vivat Regina!), Hamish Linklater (Seminar), Simon McBurney ("The Last King of Scotland"), Emma Stone ("The Help") and Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver ("Silver Linings Playbook").

"Magic in the Moonlight," according to Sony Pictures Classics, "is a romantic comedy about an Englishman brought in to help unmask a possible swindle. Personal and professional complications ensue. The film is set in the south of France in the 1920s against a backdrop of wealthy mansions, the Côte d’Azur, jazz joints and fashionable spots for the wealthy of the Jazz Age."

Letty Aronson, Stephen Tenenbaum and Edward Walson produce "Magic in the Moonligt," which was shot by Darius Khondji ("Midnight in Paris") with production design by Anne Seibel ("Midnight in Paris").
