The musical theatre composers of ASCAP congratulated three-time Oscar nominee Marc Shaiman (center, in green shirt, black coat) on his first Broadway musical, Hairspray, Aug. 7 at Caffe Cielo. Among the theatratti were Charles Strouse, Henry Kreiger, Craig Carnelia, Jeanine Tesori, Tom Jones, Richard Adler, Carol Hall, Stephen Schwartz, Stephen Flaherty and Shaiman's writing partner, Scott Wittman.
