Broadway's Noise/ Funk Tony Winner Savion Glover Plays New York's Joyce, Dec. 16-Jan. 4

Savion Glover, star of Broadway's Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, returns to New York City as he makes his Joyce Theatre debut in a new concert event, Dec. 16- Jan. 4, 2004.
Glover made his Broadway debut as the title character in The Tap Dance Kid at the age of 12. He went on to appear in Black and Blue, Jelly's Last Jam and Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, for which he won a Tony Award for Best Choreography. The hoofer has made numerous television appearances and has been seen on film in the Spike Lee film "Bamboozled."
Performances will play Tuesdays-Fridays at 8 PM, Saturdays at 2 and 8 PM, and Sundays at 2 and 7:30 PM. A special holiday performance will play Jan. 2, 2004 at 2 PM. A "Dance Talk Focus" artist-audience conversation series will center on Glover, Dec. 11 at 6 PM in The Joyce's SoHo venue at 155 Mercer Street. A required RSVP can be made by calling (212) 334-7479.
