Neuwirth, Graham, Hawke Join "Celebrity Charades" LAByrinth Theatre Company Benefit, Sept. 29
By Ernio Hernandez
Heather Graham (Recent Tragic Events), Ethan Hawke (Henry IV), Kristen Johnston (Aunt Dan and Lemon), Bebe Neuwirth (Writer's Block), Edward Norton (Burn This), Annabella Sciorra ("The Sopranos") and Amanda Peet ("The Whole Nine Yards") join the list of celebrities playing charades at the LAByrinth Theatre Company benefit, Sept. 29. The troupe will also present Madonna with the inaugural Dave Hoghe Award for "her artistic courage and outstanding dedication to LAByrinth Theatre Company," as a release states. The songstress helped LAByrinth bring its production of Jesus Hopped the A Train to London's West End in 2002. The event is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM at the Daryl Roth Theatre in downtown Manhattan. Tickets are available by calling (212) 279-4200 or visiting www.ticketcentral.com. THE LAByrinth Theater Company began in 1992 when 13 actors joined forces to form a place to work. The company has since grown acclaim for its stagings of Stephen Adly Guirgis' works Jesus Hopped the A Train and Our Lady of 121st Street — which recently enjoyed a commercial run at the Union Square Theatre. The company, headed up by Hoffman and Ortiz, is in residence at the Public Theater for the 2003-04 season. For more information on the company, visit www.labtheater.org. |
