Michals Joins Hoty, Bogart, McKechnie and Foster for Broadway Showstoppers

William Michals, who made his Broadway debut in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, has joined the Broadway Showstoppers company. The concerts — Jan. 28 and 30 at 8 PM, Jan. 31 at 2 PM and Feb. 1 at 3 PM — will also boast the Pops' professional chorus, The Voices of the Pops. William Michals portrayed the Beast in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast. His other theatrical credits include roles in Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, The Music Man, Man of La Mancha, Chicago, The Sound of Music and Camelot. Michals also sang "Let There Be Peace on Earth" at the official ceremonies on Dec. 11, 2001, at Ground Zero in New York City. The Broadway Showstoppers concerts will be held in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Tickets, priced $19-$82, are available by calling (215) 893-1999.
