Gypsy's Peters to Sing "Roses" on "Today Show"

Two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters will guest on "The Today Show" this month. Bernadette Peters received a 2003 Tony Award nomination for her performance as Momma Rose in the Sam Mendes-directed revival of Gypsy. She won her two Tonys for her performances in Song & Dance and Annie Get Your Gun, and she has also starred on Broadway in Mack & Mabel, On the Town, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the original production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. Gypsy — written by Arthur Laurents, Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim — plays the Shubert Theatre, 225 West 44th Street. The Grammy Award-winning Gypsy cast recording is available from Angel Records. |
