PHOTO CALL: Krakowski, Lauper, Famous New Yorkers Announce 2004 Tony Nods

Denizens of the theatre world set their alarms earlier than usual this morning for the announcement of the 2004 Tony Award nominations from the Hudson Theatre in New York City.

This year, a host of celebrated New Yorkers were on hand to announce the eagerly-anticipated nominations. Some of those present inluded New York Giants running back Tiki Barber, designer Kenneth Cole, and "Sopranos" actress Edie Falco.

At left, native New Yorker Cyndi Lauper, who is currently developing a musical with Taboo producer Rosie O'Donnell, livens up the announcement, while Jesse L. Martin, of "Law & Order" and Rent fame gives an interview after the announcement. Also on hand to help out were John Leguizamo, Anne Meara, Jerry Stiller, and Nine Tony winner Jane Krakowski.
