Tunes from Woman in White Featured in Kennedy Center Lloyd Webber Evening; Complete Song List Announced

"I Believe in My Heart" and "Evermore Without You," two songs from the new London musical The Woman in White, will be part of the Kennedy Center's The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Sarah Pfisterer, seen in the Broadway mountings of Show Boat and The Phantom of the Opera, and Jekyll & Hyde's Rob Evan will duet on "I Believe in My Heart," while Evan will solo on "Evermore Without You." The Andrew Lloyd Webber evenings will play the D.C. theatre Dec. 28-Jan. 3, 2005. The starry company also includes Alice Ripley, Liz Callaway, Hugh Panaro and Ray Walker.

The Jeffrey Finn Productions concert, by special arrangement with The Really Useful Group, will feature musical supervision by conductor Edward G. Robinson (a veteran of American productions of Lloyd Webber's Cats, The Phantom of the Opera and a previous tour of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber). The complete song list for the concert, which boasts a 32-piece onstage orchestra, follows.

Liz Callaway was most recently on Broadway in The Look of Love. She made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along, and also took part in the anniversary concert of that musical. For her work in the musical Baby, Callaway received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, and her other Broadway credits include The Three Musketeers, Miss Saigon and Cats. Callaway's solo recordings include "The Beat Goes On," "Anywhere I Wander—Liz Callaway Sings Frank Loesser" and "The Story Goes On." She was also part of the recent all-star Hair concert.

Alice Ripley, who headlined a production of Tell Me On a Sunday at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, earned a Tony nomination for her performance as conjoined twin Violet Hilton in the musical Side Show. She has also appeared on Broadway in The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, Sunset Boulevard, The Who's Tommy, Les Misérables and in the City Center Encores! production of Li'l Abner as well as the concert run of King David. Ripley starred in the Kennedy Center's production of Company and reprised her role as fearful bride Amy on TV's "Kennedy Center Honors." Ripley's non-show recordings include two discs with Side Show co-star Emily Skinner — "Duets" and "Unsuspecting Hearts" — and a recording of her own compositions, "Everything's Fine." Ripley's recent theatrical credits include Ken Ludwig's Shakespeare in Hollywood, a regional production of The Fabulous Invalid and the Off-Broadway hit Five Flights.

Robert Evan, a recent star of Johnny Guitar and Little Shop of Horrors, has appeared on Broadway in Dance of the Vampires, Jekyll & Hyde and Les Misérables. Another recent project was Off-Broadway's The Prince and the Pauper. His tour credits include Les Miz, Jekyll & Hyde and Hello, Dolly! A former UGA football player, Evan has appeared on ABC-TV's "All My Children," and his recordings include "Jekyll & Hyde," "The Civil War," "Cyrano," "The Broadway Musicals of 1940," "The Prince and the Pauper" and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's third Christmas album.

Hugh Panaro currently stars in the title role of Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera. His other Broadway credits include Les Misérables, Side Show, Show Boat and The Red Shoes. Panaro also performed in the West End and Toronto companies of Show Boat and was seen in the Kennedy Center's production of Sweeney Todd. He also starred in the American premiere of Martin Guerre.

Sarah Pfisterer portrayed Christine in the Broadway company of Phantom of the Opera and also played that role on tour. She was also seen on Broadway as Magnolia in Harold Prince's Show Boat and has appeared in regional productions at the St. Louis MUNY and Chicago's Drury Lane Oak Bridge Theatre.

Ray Walker's Broadway credits include Les Misérables, Grease and Jesus Christ Superstar. He was seen in the tours of Whistle Down the Wind, Falsettos and The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber as well as the Off-Broadway production of Chess.
