Donna Murphy to Make Cabaret Debut at Cafe Carlyle in November

Donna Murphy, most recently on Broadway in Wonderful Town, will make her cabaret debut this fall at what is arguably the premier cabaret spot in New York City: the Cafe Carlyle.

"It'll be the first time that I've ever done one," Murphy told Playbill.com columnist Harry Haun. The show will debut in November, directly after Elaine Stritch's new act, which will play Sept. 13-Oct. 29 at the Upper East Side space. Stritch, too, will be making her cabaret debut.

Murphy's other theatre credits include Hello Again, Song of Singapore, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, The King and I and Passion. She won Tony Awards for the latter two.
