Hewitt, Racey, Woodward, Wilson Win 2005 Connecticut Critics Circle Awards

The 15th annual Connecticut Critics Circle Awards, honoring outstanding achievement in Connecticut theatre during the 2004-05 season, have been announced.

The Tom Killen Award for contribution to Connecticut theater was given to Michael Wilson, artistic director of Hartford Stage. A special Award of Recognition was given to Joanne Woodward, departing artistic director of the Westport Country Playhouse, for "her role in the preservation and renovation of that historic theatre."

Other winners familiar to New York theatregoers include actors Tom Hewitt and Noah Racey, honored for the work in Travesties and Where's Charley?, respectively.
