Charity's O'Hare and Rent's Davis and More Perform at "Broadway in Bryant Park," July 21

Tony Award winner Denis O'Hare, "American Idol" hopeful Frenchie Davis and stage and screen star Kevin Mambo will appear with their current musicals — Sweet Charity, Rent and Once Around The Sun — along with Drumstruck at "Broadway in Bryant Park," July 21.

Radio station 106.7 Lite FM presents the free lunchtime series "Broadway in Bryant Park," featuring current and upcoming stageshows and artists performing showtunes at the midtown green. Continuing every Thursday through Aug. 18, the series plays at the park from 12:30 PM to approximately 1:30 PM.

The 2005 schedule (subject to change) is as follows:

  • July 7 - Musical of Musicals – The Musical!, Mamma Mia!, STOMP
  • July 14 - The Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, Altar Boyz
  • July 21 - Once Around The Sun, Sweet Charity, Rent, Drumstruck
  • July 28 - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Chicago, Wicked
  • Aug. 4 - A Dancers Responding to AIDS special presentation (featuring Broadway performers) - Spamalot's Christopher Sieber hosts.
  • Aug. 11 - The Lion King, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, All Shook Up
  • Aug. 18 - Cookin', Lennon, Actors Fund: On The Twentieth Century Concert Preview

    The HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival 2005 — which screens free movies on the lawn starting at dusk on Monday nights — will feature Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple" (a revival of which starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick is expected for Broadway in the fall) and Edward Albee's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" (which currently runs on Broadway).
