Neighborhood Playhouse Dedicates Book Sale to Tony Randall

The Neighborhood Playhouse will hold a "spectacular library sale" Aug. 26-28 at its East 54th Street location.

Entitled "Our Books, Ourshelves!," the three-day sale (10 AM-6 PM) will honor the memory of actor Tony Randall, who founded the National Actors' Theatre and who the Playhouse says was "our best reader."

The library sale will feature hundreds of items from the Playhouse's 75-year history, including plays (cloth, paper and acting editions), biographies, fiction, poetry, art, play manuscripts from "Old Broadway" and programs as well as vinyl, audio, video, disc and other surprises.

A sale preview and party will be held on Aug. 25 from 5-10 PM. Tickets for that event, priced at $5, are available by calling (212) 580-4082.

The Playhouse is located in Manhattan at 340 East 54th Street between First and Second Avenues.
