Sweet Charity Star Joins Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
By Kenneth Jones
Mylinda Hull, recently of Broadway's 42nd Street and Sweet Charity, will step into the boots of Jolene Oakes, the cloying Oklahoma oil heiress, in Broadway's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Hull begins drawling her portrait Jan. 17, opposite Jonathan Pryce (who also begins Jan. 17) and Norbert Leo Butz (who won the 2005 Best Actor Tony Award for playing one of two con men in the show). Gettelfinger returns to the Imperial Theatre March 28. Hull exits March 26. If Grey Gardens becomes a sensation, one guesses that Gettelfinger may have an immediate commercial future with it. Hull's Broadway credits include Sweet Charity (Nickie, in 2005), 42nd Street (Anytime Annie, 2001 Revival Cast), Little Shop of Horrors.
