Ten-time Tony Award nominee Graciela Daniele, who has worked with LaChiusa on Marie Christine, Hello Again, Bernada Alba and Little Fish, stages the 29-hour private reading that is produced by Daniele and Jacob Porter.

In addition to Pinkins ( The Wild Party; Caroline, or Change), Kudisch ( See What I Wanna See), Gets ( Hello Again), Leung ( Godspell) and Ryness ( Hair, First Date), the reading features Darius de Haas ( Marie Christine, Carousel), Stanley Bahorek ( Queen of the Mist), Sydney James Harcourt ( The Lion King), Ashley Robinson, Casey Robinson and Hayley Feinstein ( Shrek).

The Nine Fathers of Ariel is characterized as "a dance musical which centers on a mother's effort to provide her son with good fathering in the face of a war-obsessed world."

Musical direction is by Mary Mitchell Campbell.

LaChiusa, Fitzhugh and Daniele previously collaborated on Los Otros at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.
