Tony Award nominee Rebecca Luker (Mary Poppins, Show Boat), who recently interpreted the songs of Jerome Kern at 54 Below, is among the artists taking part in the company's New Mondays series July 9.
54 Below's series for composers, New Mondays, celebrates the work of New York's new songwriters for musical theatre. The series also salutes some of Broadway's most legendary talents.
The July 9 installment, which begins at 7 PM, features the music of Maury Yeston (Nine, Grand Hotel, Titanic, Death Takes a Holiday), Joe Iconis (The Black Suits), Brett Kristofferson (Insanities) and Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days).
Featuring the Broadway classics “To Life (L’Chaim!),” “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Sunrise Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and “Tradition,” Fiddler on the Roof will introduce a new generation to this uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!
