"During one last blowout road trip before Jack is to be married, the two men run tangle-footed into their midlife crises, all the while exploring this once little-known central California wine region.
The creative team for Sideways includes Robert Brill (scenic design), Paul Tazewell (costume design), Michael Walton (lighting design), Cricket S. Myers (sound design) and Sean Nieuwenhuis (video and projection design). Michael Roth is the composer, Lisa Shriver is the choreographer and Shirley Fishman is the dramaturg.
"Rehearsals for Sideways have only just begun but the excitement around this show is highly palpable," Playhouse artistic director Christopher Ashley said in a statement. "It's extremely gratifying that audiences are as eager to experience this touching and funny piece as we are to share it with them."
