"It Could Be Worse," the showbiz-minded, scripted comedy series co-created and written by longtime actor-collaborators Mitchell Jarvis (Rock of Ages) and Wesley Taylor (The Addams Family), begins its second season July 17 on Hulu.
"It Could Be Worse" is available on the free, ad-supported Hulu and Hulu Plus subscription service. Visitors are able to stream the entire first season and the premiere episode of Season Two beginning July 17. New episodes premiere weekly on Thursdays through Aug. 7.
Playbill.com premiered the first season of "It Could Be Worse," and over $60,000 was subsequently raised by fans of the series, via Kickstarter, for a second season.
The first season continues to air on the cable network PIVOT. Click here for more information.
"It Could Be Worse," which concerns the life and career of hapless actor Jacob Gordon, played by Taylor, also features Adam Chanler-Berat as Ben Farrel, two-time Tony nominee Alison Fraser as stage star Veronica Bailey, Gideon Glick as Jacob's boyfriend Phillip Klein, Jarvis as agent Sam Atkinson, Tony Award nominee Nancy Opel as Jacob's mother Judy Gordon, Richard Poe as Jacob's father Leo Gordon and Audra McDonald as Jacob's shrink.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
