Singer Natalie Weiss Makes 54 Below Concert Debut Jan. 10
10 Jan 2014
Natalie Weiss, who has been seen on Broadway in Everyday Rapture and recently completed a two-and-a-half year run in the 25th anniversary tour of Les Misérables, makes her 54 Below concert debut Jan. 10, 2014.
The singer-actress, who was originally scheduled to perform Nov. 1 at 54 Below, was forced to cancel due to bacterial laryngitis.
The 11 PM concert promises "brand-new arrangements of pop favorites, highlights from her EP and maybe even an interactive 'Breaking Down The Riffs' segment."
Weiss, who is known for her various YouTube performances and her web series "Breaking Down the Riffs," has also been seen in the national tour of Wicked and Season Four of Fox's "American Idol."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
