Smith Center Opening, With Neil Patrick Harris, Laura Osnes, Cheyenne Jackson, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Filmed for TV March 10

Emmy winner Neil Patrick Harris hosts the March 10 starry opening night at Las Vegas' Smith Center.

The black-tie event, which begins at 8 PM, features a mix of artists from the worlds of music, television, stage and screen.

Among those scheduled to perform at the Nevada venue are Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson; country artists Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris and Martina McBride; singer-songwriter Carol King; trumpeter Arturo Sandoval; violinist Joshua Bell; gospel great Mavis Staples; Train lead singer Pat Monahan; and American Ballet Theater dancers Marcello Gomes and Luciana Paris.

Broadway is represented by Tony winner Brian Stokes Mitchell, Laura Osnes, Cheyenne Jackson, Sherie Rene Scott, Montego Glover and Benjamin Walker.

The Smith Center opening is produced and directed by George Stevens, Jr., and Michael Stevens. The performance is being taped for a national television broadcast at a later date.
