Stacy Keach, Grace Gummer and Josh Radnor will appear in Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet's adaptation of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya for L.A. Theatre Works beginning Oct. 17 at the James Bridges Theater.

Rosalind Ayres directs the production that will continue through Oct. 20. The complete cast includes Keach, Gummer, Radnor, Caroline Aaron, John Getz and Marvin Jarvis. Mamet's adaptation is based on a translation by Vlada Chernornirdik.

According to LATW, "On the crumbling estate of a retired professor and his beautiful young wife, a tangled web of desire emerges to consume various friends and family members who have sought refuge there."

All LATW performances are recorded and broadcast on LATW's nationally syndicated radio theatre series, "The Play's the Thing."
